Canada cancels food program to pay for G-20 security

NEWS FROM CANANDA:

Tighe and Medea decided to go to Canada for lunch during the US Social Forum. They were held at the border.  Medea was questioned for four hours and denied entrance. Tighe was taken into custody and he is still being held. Any of you who look to Canada as a haven to run to need to listen to Democracy Now this morning – listen on line to get the whole program.

The G20 are planning a world-wide austerity plan to fix the world economy after the rape of the world by the American financial system.

For example, Canada has cancelled a food program that costs 2 million a year but security for this meeting costs 1 billion – so five years of food assistance was cancelled to pay for the security for the G20.

Corrupted courts, judges and the ignoring of Title 28 of US Code & Title

Marti Oakley (c)Copyright 2010, All Rights Reserved

“It would appear that US Code & Title is only invoked against the people as even these corporate government players disregard it at their convenience.”

While Attorney General Eric Holder ponders what might be done about Judge Feldman’s ruling on overturning the moratorium on oil drilling in the Gulf, I am pondering what has to be intentional stalling or, a complete lack of law knowledge, corporate or otherwise, by Mr. Holder.  It would appear to me that a challenge in the court to Feldman’s ruling would be easily accomplished using US Code & Title 28, part 1, Chapter 21 section:455

Possibly Mr. Holder is not aware that he actually has to present a challenge in court in order to void this ruling.  Of course, this would require he become engaged in that process.

U.S. District Court Judge Martin Feldman in the Eastern District of Louisiana seems not to be aware of his obligations and duties as per US Code & Title, and apparently neither is anyone else in the District of Criminals.  More

“Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis), who cast the lone no vote against AB 2775, described the bill as “lipstick on a pig.” She voted against the amendment she believes it makes the bond more palatable. “This won’t eliminate the possibility of gaming the system,” she stated.”

No on Water Bond Coalition Blasts AB 2775

Senator Wolk describes bill as ‘lipstick on a pig’

_______________________________________

Representatives of the No on the Water Bond Coalition slammed AB 2775, an alleged “fix” of the Safe, Clean, and Reliable Drinking Water Supply Act of 2010, after the bill passed out of the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee on June 22.

“AB 2775 is no fix at all,” said Tina Andolina of the Planning and Conservation League. “Tinkering around the edges won’t fix this bond.

This measure does not truly address the problem that the bond will allow private companies to profit as taxpayers foot the bill. We will see water privatization on an even larger scale if the bond passes, and this bill does nothing to address the problem.” More

Political Mischaracterization of Fluoridation Opposition Dismays Scientists

CANTON, N.Y., June 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Scientists representing the Fluoride Action Network (FAN) strongly object to recent mischaracterizations of fluoridation opponents by political pundits Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann and others in conjunction with Senator Harry Reid’s Nevada re-election campaign.

“Fluoridation opposition is science-based and growing,” says Paul Connett, PhD, FAN Executive Director, who has co-authored the upcoming book, “The Case Against Fluoride: How Hazardous Waste Ended Up in Our Drinking Water and the Bad Science and Powerful Politics that Keep it There.” Co-authors are James Beck, MD, PhD, professor emeritus of medical physics at the University of Alberta in Calgary; and Spedding Micklem, DPhil, professor emeritus at Edinburgh University.

“We have spent many years investigating water fluoridation and the toxicity of fluoride and we are dismayed that commentators are willing to repeat, without verification, pro-fluoridation statements that disparage scientists and citizens who oppose the practice,” says Connett.

“FAN’s website http://www.FluorideAlert.org  has a wealth of scientific information indicating that water fluoridation is neither safe nor effective,” says Connett.  “In fact, mounting evidence shows that it is harmful to large segments of the population and has helped to create an epidemic of dental fluorosis in children.”  On April 12, 2010, Time magazine listed fluoride as one of the “Top Ten Common Household Toxins” and described fluoride as both “neurotoxic and potentially tumorigenic if swallowed.”

ACT TODAY – Last Day to Oppose Government Proposal to Own & Warehouse Newborn Citizen DNA

Please take 5 minutes to say NO to the federal government’s plan to collect, control and own the DNA of every citizen, starting at birth.

TODAY, June 25th, is the last day to comment on the federal government’s plan to warehouse and use newborn citizen DNA without consent for government research, corporate research and other purposes.

Concerns about the government’s proposal, as stated in CCHC’s public comments to the federal government (U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS)), include:

•    Fails to recommend informed written consent requirements for the storage and use of newborn DNA for research and other purposes.
•    Asserts a public claim on the DNA of newborn citizens.
•    Claims that newborn blood is necessary for “population surveillance.”
•    Does not support the 22 state genetic privacy laws and the 5 state genetic ownership laws.
•    Does not include compelling statistics from the Univ. of Michigan study that found the public appalled by unconsented government storage and research (p. 12). More

In the UK:Eco-targets extended to cover all dairy products

The UK’s industry-led Milk Roadmap to reduce the environmental impact of the dairy supply has been extended to cover all dairy products.

The scheme, launched in 2008, was broadened having only been applicable previously to the liquid-milk supply chain, which accounts for around 50 per cent of production in the sector.

“The subsequent success of the initiative has encouraged the industry to extend the approach and targets to all products, including cheese, yoghurt, butter, milk powders etc., “ Dairy UK spokesperson Sam Fortescue told DairyReporter.com.

Farming Minister Jim Paice said the decision would see “the whole industry coming together to set clear goals and take responsibility for reducing emissions of the whole of the dairy supply chain”.

Fortescue added that while larger firms would find it easier to meet targets, small businesses had met targets under the previous regime through innovative new technologies, such as BV Dairies liquid anaerobic digestion system

The Roadmap targets

The roadmap outlines 2015 and 2020 emission reduction targets for the entire supply chain, from farmers and processors to retailers.

Goals include a 20 per cent absolute reduction of water use for large processors by 2015 and 30 per cent recycled material in packaging. These figures are expected to increase to 30 and 50 per cent respectively by 2020.

The targets are to be applied to small and large businesses alike across the entire sector, although larger processors are being asked to meet objectives before the rest of the industry to ensure goals are met.

Green outlook

Asked whether manufacturers of the latest insertions would find it difficult to achieve aims which had been set specifically for milk in 2008, DairyCo research manager Dr Karen Wonnacott said: “We appreciate that there will be challenges to some products to meet these targets, but that is the aim of the Milk Roadmap – to keep challenging the industry and make sure we continue to move forward in this area.” More

“Why do we continue to throw precaution to the wind?” Dennis Kucinich

“Today the Supreme Court ruled that when it comes to genetically modified organisms, we as consumers have to wait until the damage is done and obvious before we can act to protect health and the environment, even if that damage could be irreversible.”

“Haven’t we learned from the catastrophe in the Gulf of the dangers of technological arrogance, of proceeding ahead with technologies without worrying about the consequences? Why do we continue to throw precaution to the wind?

“Tomorrow I will introduce three bills that will provide a comprehensive regulatory framework for all Genetically Engineered (GE) plants, animals, bacteria, and other organisms. To ensure we can maximize benefits and minimize hazards, Congress must provide a comprehensive regulatory framework for all GE products. Structured as a common-sense precaution to ensure GE foods do no harm, these bills will ensure that consumers are protected, food safety measures are strengthened, farmers’ rights are better protected and biotech companies are responsible for their products.”

– Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), on June 21, 2010, after the Supreme Court voted 7-1 to allow the experimental planting of genetically modified alfalfa seed before an environmental review is completed.

Today, these same Banksters and Fraudsters inundate our court rooms with fraudulent documents, most of these manufactured  “in house” by foreclosure mills with the full knowledge and intent of defrauding our courts in the process of stealing the homes of millions of Americans to which they have never owned legal title.
