“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” –Barack Obama, “Obama’s Civilian National Security Force“
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Domestic terrorism by domestic agencies
The civilian national security force was never intended to be populated by private citizens, but rather, by hired citizens who could be convinced to violate the constitution, and your rights simply by virtue of wearing a tin badge and told they were not constrained by anything as marginal as the law.
By now it should have become obvious, that rather than just using our military to attack us in-country, it is far more effective to militarize various federal and state agencies and have them do the attacking under cover of the agency. Claiming they are defending the law, upholding statutes and regulations, military style swat teams from numerous federal agencies have been steadily attacking, threatening and harassing private citizens. These attacks are nothing less than acts of war perpetrated by the federal agencies on behalf of the federal government.
That terrorist you are so afraid of is your neighbor
“If you see something…Say Something”…I would like to report that the terrorists we need to fear are inside the gates.
They were our neighbors, our family members; now unrecognizable as the transformation from ordinary citizen to badge heavy, agency employed, domestic terrorist takes place. And these people are domestic terrorists by any definition. They do not work for “we the people”, but rather, for corporate interests both foreign and domestic. They will willingly violate the laws you are required to comply with, without blinking an eye. The constitution? Your rights? Not even a consideration.
The Civilian National Security force that Obama was speaking about was created under the fake food safety bill passed in 2010, via “Dirty Harry” Reid’s infamous, unanimous and singular vote. Without objection! Every one of the remaining 99 Senators voluntarily vacated the senate chamber to facilitate “Dirty Harry’s” one unanimous vote. Every other Democrat and Republican senator was in on the deal.
And here’s how “Dirty Harry” pulled off the hostile takeover of agriculture By Fred Kelly Grant | December 21, 2010
“Then, on the floor of the Senate in the late afternoon, early evening of Sunday, December 19, Senator Reid called the Recycling bill for a vote and there was no objection from the two other Senators who were on the floor. So by unanimous consent HR 2751 was passed. Then Senator Reid moved for reconsideration with the vote to be tabled. This was granted by the same unanimous consent because there was no other Senator on the floor. Then Senator Reid offered without objection amendment number 4890 which substituted S. 510 the Food Safety Bill for the Recycling Bill. Without objection, then the amendment was passed and the Food Safety Bill had been substituted for the Recycling Bill. Reid moved that the bill be read for the third time and asked for the question. Without objection, the bill passed, and the Food Safety Bill was on the way back to the House.”
The result? The militarization of federal agencies in preparation for the coming assaults on family and independent food producers and on private property rights. This bill had little to do with food safety and much to do with assembling the in-country attack units now employed by USDA, FDA, EPA and the notoriously corrupt BLM. More
As “troops” are assembled against one lone rancher, the assault on private property rights and 1st Amendment rights are being ratcheted up at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada.
~~~~~~~~
From Ben Swann:
UPDATE: Strike teams of 15-20 agents are attempting to take the cattle and often in the process killing and burying the cattle in the desert. A group of roughly 100 peaceful protestors attempted to stop them and got in front of a convoy of agents in an attempt to call in the local sheriff as they perceived this as an illegal action. BLM agents began violently attacking the protestors, throwing women to the ground with a number of men being tazed. Agents ended up retreating after their initial attack. Protestors are awaiting and anticipating a more forceful response and requesting assistance from all freedom fighters/lovers in the SW U.S. and nationwide.”
~~~~~~~~
Across the country, but most especially in the Western states, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has revealed itself to be nothing more than an uncontrollable and direct threat to the sovereignty and economic stability of the states. At issue currently, is the massive militarized preparation for the assault on the Clive Bundy ranch in Nevada, orchestrated by the BLM.
Having already illegally seized 277 of the Bundy’s 900 head of cattle, the BLM with the cooperation of so-called “professional cowboys” and with the willful blindness of Nevada’s governor, state representatives and senators, the Bundy’s stand prepared to defend themselves, their land and property rights, even to the point of death. The BLM has indicated it is more than willing to oblige the Bundy’s, setting an example to other ranchers or property rights activists that the BLM will do what it pleases and no one will stop them.
This is what the BLM and its agents are doing to other Americans. Regardless of your position on the Wild horse & Burro’s, or your position on cattle operations, your focus here should be the violent assault on a private property owner by agents employed by a federal corporation that routinely violates property rights, and rights of the individual to benefit the federal government. If this man loses this battle, if we do not support him in his efforts to protect what is rightfully his, we all lose!
As the preparations by the BLM and its thugs continues, the level of testosterone oozing from every pore of agents dressed in military gear, flying military style helicopters overhead and brandishing weaponry and personal gear more suited for a military conflict, is literally dripping off the mesquite. Nothing is quite as invigorating as being part of a military style operation against one lone individual, knowing that that individual has little or no defense against the assault you are about to launch against them. And, also knowing that regardless of how unwarranted, illegal or heinous your actions are, you will never be held accountable. More
“I originally published this article in June of 2011. Now that global warming, then climate change and now “climate disruption” is being blamed on dairy cows, it might be a nice time to revisit the insane world of the EPA. This is the same EPA that ignores the massive methane releases that result from fracking and oil drilling. EPA itself admits that only 9% of greenhouse gases come from the cows, but fails to mention what percentage comes from fracking and drilling. I can’t believe they are trying yet again to resurrect this issue in what can only be viewed as an attempt to cover up the damage from the oil cartels”
________________________________________________________________
Apparently there are still a fair number of people that either haven’t read or refuse to read the Climate-gate memo’s. Just in case…Attention! GLOBAL WARMING is a screaming hoax! They don’t even call it global warming these days, it is…..CLIMATE CHANGE. That’s a much broader, vaguer catch-all phrase that can be massaged, manipulated and used for far more than the restrictive “global warming.” After all, when you are attempting to convince the public that a threat exists where there actually is none, you need all the wiggle room you can get.
Refusing to let this fictional threat die,(after all Cap& Trade is generating massive amounts of pay to pollute revenues) we are bombarded daily with reports of climate change which is supposed to signal the end of times! With most rational people dismissing these claims as unworthy of their attention and time, newer, bigger more threatening causes are identified each and every day. Most recently….COW FARTS! Oh! The horror of it! (Run away! Run away!)
The current hysteria is tied to the amount of methane gas expelled through farting and belching, by cows. No one made mention of the amount of gaseous emissions coming from the District of Criminals or any of the federal corporate agency talking heads that waste taxpayer money sitting around dreaming up this stuff. And of course, these same hot air blowers will never mention that the largest concentration of methane from cow farts is on those fetid CAFO farms where hundreds of animals are warehoused in a space that should only accommodate a few head. And even if they did mention this, they would never go so far as to examine the increase in methane emissions as a result of CAFO animals being fed gmo contaminated feeds; a known cause of an increase and mutation of e.coli in the cow’s gut which also increases the level of gases in the cows gut needing to be expelled. EYE WITNESS REPORT October 29, Sugar Creek, Ohio ANIMAL DISEASE TRACEABILITY final USDA rules for livestock moving interstate.
Yoder, Apple Creek, Ohio, on the left. Veterinarians, state staff and ranchers were in attendance.
The Ohio State Veterinarian, Tony M. Forshey, officiated an ADT rule — cattle requirements overview meeting with producers on Oct 29. This was one of about a dozen in Ohio and similar to a few
hundred held in most states.
My appreciation of Dr. Forshey was increased as I watched him carefully articulate the maze of complicated and difficult federal rules for state veterinarians and animal producers. The tight rope he had to walk being forced to enforce federal rules and yet having “state rights” to tweak certain parts of the rule making process — his assistant called it “ability to relax” federal ADT rules.
If the Affordable Care Act is confusing, the facial expressions of Ohio farmers attending told the story. One major veal producer, RC Farms, said “I am not going to do it!” No reply was offered by Dr. Forshey as to the enforcements, fines or penalties for future non-compliance. (I sensed he did not want to go there in this crowd.)
New ADT changes and procedures defined include:
~ There are federal rules of ADT that are enforced federally and there are ways a state veterinarian can increase enforcements or “relax” these rules. Although the feds have a solid rule process, states can and may or may not relax or add to these rules. The state veterinarian has that authority. More
Memo: Many of you joined together to oppose the USDA’s NAIS ploy. Prior to our USA battle with the federales the Australians were fighting the same battle, but they lost the war bigger and faster than the US sisters. The Australian government has always been the “view into the future” for us. Their NAIS is NLIS – National Livestock Identification Scheme. With hearings and political battles USDA realized that over 90% of livestock owners refused to sign up for NAIS so they threw up their hands and said — we give up — NAIS is dead, ended, over. Yet, as most expected, it raised an ugly finger in the air and now we have ADT. ADT is following the same path as NAIS and NLIS, but slower, one state at a time. Texas, of all states is leading the charge in animal ID compliances, testing, and enforcements.
The fight is still on. Our unfriendly-bureaucratic-predator government is adding the control rules one at a time, one state at a time — hammering away toward NAIS. It now is still federal, working under the radar as quasi state rules.
Notice the Australian cattlemen’s plea (article below) to be free again from the ignorance of NLIS. Once in the government’s claws, seldom do they release the prey. Darol
Banks to use NLIS to spy on cattle producers – ABA calls on Minister Joyce to intervene.
Meat and Livestock Australia has admitted it has commissioned consultants to develop a system that allows financial institutions to automatically access producers’, lot feeders’ and processors’ NLIS accounts to monitor livestock transactions.
The admission was made to former Australian Beef Association Director, John Carter.
It would seem MLA/NLIS is seeking to develop a user-pay system that automatically notifies a financial institution when stock are moved onto or off an NLIS Account/PIC – for purchase, sale or slaughter. Prospective users of the service are banks, stock and station agencies and any other party, such as an investor, prepared to pay for the service.
“This is an outrageous abuse of trust by MLA,” Australian Beef Association Director Brad Bellinger said.
“NLIS was imposed on cattle producers on the understanding it was needed for market access and bio-security. More
“Why is it, every time the jackasses in the District of Criminals have run some program into the ground, squandered massive amounts of dollars while letting corporations write bills that benefit them and rape and rob the states, they always come out and say; “The system is broken”. “We’ve got to fix the system, it is broken”. It’s an emergency! We have to do something right now! And that is all quickly followed by one phony “crisis” after another as they try to scare the public into believing the “crisis” just magically and mysteriously appeared.”
_______________________________________________________________
Recent news reports highlighted the announcement of a proposed restructuring of the United States government (USA.Inc.). The collusion of privately owned federal corporations that operate under fraud, color of “law”, and fictions of law, are now openly conspiring with other Non-governmental agencies in an effort to by-pass any remaining restrictions on their plundering and theft of the states assets and adherence to UN Agenda 21, Chapter 8. The conversion to a one-world government where the individual
not only will not be able to own anything, but can be found at any time to have violated some or all of the 23 million fictionally created rules, regulations, statutes or codes, issued by government and private corporations against the people, will be expanded.
An overt act of treason against the people of the sovereign states, is underway. Un-elected bureaucracies, created for no other reason than to by-pass Constitutional provisions and prohibitions against a centralized all-controlling government have been published in a study called Sustainability For the Nation: Resource connections and government linkages. This is a blueprint for finalizing the destruction of our Constitutional Republic, centralizing all power in one branch and totally dis-empowering the people then rendering the Constitution dead once and for all, and structuring the foundations for one world government.
Should the provisions in this study be implemented to any degree, pink slips should be sent to every member of Congress, in both houses, terminating their cushy and highly protected jobs for allowing this to transpire. This study represents a bold-faced attack on the Constitution, the rule of law and the people of the states. What this study details is the establishment of a Homeland Security Terrorism type behemoth federal monstrosity which will quickly show itself to be a threat to the nation, just as Homeland Security Terrorism has done.
Remember when we were all fighting back against the National Animal Identification System and subsequently, the fake food safety bill? I noted at the time that Dick Durbin, IL, pondered the idea of creating one huge behemoth agency akin to HSD:
I find it less than coincidental that Senator Durbin, in his dramatic speech on the floor of the Senate, proposed to Senator Coborn, who objected to S.510, that maybe what was needed was just one big agency to cover everything. Wonder where he came up with that idea? Just a notion; top of his head suggestion.
When those who subscribe to the phony “sustainability” plan describe what they think it entails, always it is some sense of environmental protection, some social equalization or some possible greening up of the planet for the sake of humanity. The word “sustainability” is another of what we like to call “weasel word swaps”. (think corporate government trade agreements (contracts) as opposed to Constitutionally approved treaties. Two entirely different concepts one binding and the other simply complied with. More
The letter below was received from Rep. Collin Peterson, 7th District, Minnesota. Peterson’s
letter details his love of gmo’s and his belief that no science exist to substantiate the claims that gmo is harmful to human health. With numerous countries around the world banning the use of gmo seeds, the importing of gmo products into their countries, and the massive number of scientific studies that were actually done to document the threat to the environment and public health that these frankenfood creations are causing, it appears Mr. Peterson is oblivious to all. Makes you wonder what planet this guy is on.
Mr. Peterson’s comments are in black.
My responses are in blue.
Dear Mr. Oakley:
Thank you for contacting my office about genetically engineered foods. I appreciate hearing from you.
Dear Mr. Peterson: I doubt that you appreciate hearing from me or anyone else who isn’t on the bio-piracy wagon. I am fully aware that this is a very lucrative association for you , not only politically, but personally as well.
Since the first genetically engineered crops became commercially available in the mid-1990s, U.S. soybean, cotton, and corn farmers have rapidly adopted them.
Farmers have not rapidly adopted genetically engineered crops unless you considered being coerced, bullied, terrorized, threatened with lawsuits or finding that bio-pirates such as Monsanto have monopolized the market and have the Supreme Court of The United States firmly in their pocket and also a cushy little seat in the White House to protect their interests, willing adoption of these crops.
Since that time there has been no scientific evidence suggesting that these crops are harmful. More
Jackass Alert!
The overtaking of several sectors of the federal government by private corporations who routinely use congress and the president to codify their unlawful activity to expand their monopolies has just received a huge gift package from those fine jackasses in the District of Criminals. Monsanto just received a payoff on its massive funding of campaign contributions on both sides of the isle, having the favor returned in the form of a free pass on any kind of control or any kind of judicial penalty on their collective species of invasive seeds.
The Continuing Resolution (CR) which has been pitched as a crisis bill because otherwise the world would
come to an end, included a so-called sneak attack by Monsanto that would give it a free pass. The Monsanto Rider avoids USDA controls and eliminates any judicial system interference. Obviously unconstitutional, the rider violates the right to due process by those harmed by this corporation and establishes a clear pattern of collusion against the public at large. No one actually wants Monsanto’s products and the grassroots resistance to these toxic crops has been non-stop. Both houses of congress of course ignored the public backlash as they voted on a full scale corporate hiney hugging love fest.
Through a carefully constructed system of market manipulations, predatory practices, and with the complete cooperation of the USDA and the courts, Monsanto has relentlessly worked to end any farming endeavors that have not been consumed by their market monopoly. It also helped out immensely that Michael Taylor, alleged former attorney for Monsanto was somehow appointed to the newly created and unconstitutional office of “Food Czar” right inside the White House! I cannot help but wonder what input he may have had in this rotten deal.
The actual intent of this rider was to relieve congress, the courts and federal agencies such as the USDA, from having to publicly expose themselves as bought and paid for. This rider actually serves to relieve them of having to expose themselves to any scrutiny or to require them to take any position arbitrary to Monsanto that might cause the money train to run off the rails. PLEASE NOTE THE EDITED PARGRAPHS AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE DEALING WITH “CONSENT”. THIS WAS A POINT I MISSED WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT.
___________________________________________________________________
The agricultural surveys are being sent out once again with a note on the front of the envelope stating “YOUR RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW”. Actually not. This statement is mis-leading, meant to intimidate and is completely false. Title 7 Agriculture, is non-positive code & title. This means the activities described and mandated under this code can only being cited as prima facie evidence, meaning
the wording can be cited as existing but cannot be used to bring criminal charges or used as the basis for declaring any right as illegal. It cannot be used or cited as an underlying authority for, as in this instance, declaring an unlawful survey disguised as a “census” to be mandatory. Prima facie is the assumption that something exist as other than what it actually is. It takes little to determine that Title 7 is not lawful or constitutional.
The USDA nor any of the other alphabet agencies that exist as a result of non-positive code & title have no underlying authority except in the District of Criminals, insular possessions and territories occupied. In the sovereign states, they have no force of law……..because they are NOT law. These codes and titles exist as a wish list that has been foisted on the states with the help of your governors and state legislators who enabled them to contract with similar agencies in your state. If you were not party to those contracts, (and you were not),if they were never revealed to you as existing (and they were not) and if you never signed your name agreeing to what is essentially the business plan of private corporations, you cannot be compelled to comply with the contract. No state agency, regardless of whom it contracts with, can force those who were not party to the contract, to comply.
But don’t let this make you think a van load of jack-booted thugs from USDA won’t show up at your door, seize your assets and intimidate your family after unlawfully trespassing your property, most likely with the help of your local sheriff who is supposed to protect you from such incidences. The law means absolutely nothing to these people.
Ultimately, Title 7 Agriculture, as with numerous other non-positive codes and titles, remains out of the lawful, constitutional reach of the federal corporation no matter how many egregious laws congress passes. Agriculture is not in the powers enumerated for the federal government.
USDA Gearing Up to Conduct 2012 Census of Agriculture
National Agricultural Classification Survey is an Important Step toward a Complete Count
Washington, February 10, 2012 – Surveys are now arriving in mailboxes around the nation to help identify all active farms in the United States. The National Agricultural Classification Survey (NACS), which asks landowners whether or not they are farming and for basic farm information, is one of the most important early steps used to determine who should receive a 2012 Census of Agriculture report form. The Census of Agriculture, conducted every five years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), is a complete count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them.
FROM THE USDA SITE.
http://www.agcensus.usda.gov/Newsroo…02_10_2012.php
“We are asking everyone who receives the NACS to respond even if they are not farming so that we build the most accurate and comprehensive mailing list to account for all of U.S. agriculture in the Census,” said NASS’s Census and Survey Director, Renee Picanso. “The Census is the leading source of facts about American agriculture and the only source of agricultural statistics that is comparable for each county in the nation. Farm organizations, businesses, government decision-makers, commodity market analysts, news media, researchers and others use Census data to inform their work.”
NACS is required by law as part of the U.S. Census of Agriculture. By this same law, all information reported by individuals is kept confidential. NASS will mail the 2012 Census of Agriculture later this year and data will be collected into early 2013.
“The NACS survey is the first step in getting a complete count, so we ask everyone who receives a survey to complete and return it,” said Picanso. “The Census is a valuable way for producers and rural America to show their strength – in numbers.”
The 2012 Census of Agriculture is your voice, your future, your responsibility. For more information about NACS, the Census of Agriculture, or to add your name to the Census mail list, visit
www.agcensus.usda.gov.
NASS provides accurate, timely, useful and objective statistics in service to U.S. agriculture. We invite you to provide feedback on our products and services. Sign up at http://usda.mannlib.cornell.edu/subscriptions and look for “NASS Data User Community.”
*****************************************************************
This Census is a valuable way for the USDA to manipulate markets, to map out who and where food is being produced that might interfere with global producers, say for instance, Monsanto.
“The Census is a valuable way for producers and rural America to show their strength – in numbers.” The first question here would have to be, “In what possible way?” It is the numbers they are after. Just how big is the remaining, dwindling independent and family ranching and farming community and what is it likely to take to put them out of business? More
YOU can help to hold the USDA and Dow Chemical accountable simply by posting your comments on the official public record of Dow Chemical’s petition with the USDA to approve their 2,4-D herbicide resistant GMO crops (remember that 2,4-D herbicide is half of the recipe for Agent Orange).
The USDA is required to respond to all UNIQUE comments publicly. Therefore, it is essential that you write your own message in addition to using any of the issues listed below. Comments close on April 27th, so make sure to get them in today. It’s simple to do, and you can view the list of issues and source links below. Just go to the USDA website to leave your comments and take action!
Here is a list of issues concerning the new dangerous 2,4-D herbicide resistant crops and source links that we encourage you to use, along with your own message in your comments to the USDA:
• I am demanding a full Environmental Impact Statement on these crops because they can affect human health.
• What are the cumulative effects for these crops and the increase in 2,4-D herbicide usage?
• EPA documents show that 2,4-D herbicide is the seventh largest source of dioxin in the US.
http://www.epa.gov/oppsrrd1/REDs/24d_red.pdf
• EPA documents reveal that 2,4-D agricultural runoff has polluted groundwater across the US. Dioxin has a half-life of more than 100 years when leached into soil and embedded in water systems. Additionally, when contaminated fish are used as a food source, humans absorb dioxin.
http://www.epa.gov/teach/chem_summ/24D_summary.pdf
http://www.aspeninstitute.org/policy-work/agent-orange/history
• The commercialization of GMO 2,4-D herbicide resistant crops will dramatically increase the usage of 2,4-D herbicide that is linked to dioxin to be used on food crops. More
The news that USDA was closing down 250 domestic offices in order to supposedly save 150 million a year in funds has been generally received as an advanced warning across America of an oncoming new program administered by some agency, council or group other than the USDA. Bear in mind, this is the same USDA that is squandering 250 million in bogus grants to get smart meters installed in rural America.
The USDA which has become nothing more than a domestic threat to rural America never does anything remotely considered to be family, independent, rural, USA friendly unless of course you happen to be one of those Big Ag and the Bio-Pirates, corporate partners.
The idea that USDA is closing domestic offices while leaving massive numbers of foreign offices open for business is alarming on the one hand and yet, somehow comforting to think the staffs of what has become known as a domestic terrorist organization might be out of work. Not so fast Gretel! What you need to be asking yourself is……what is going to replace it? You know they aren’t just going to leave our family farmers and ranchers alone. The USDA is busy sending out its Agricultural Survey attempting to elicit from unwary property owners, information regarding any agricultural production or livestock or poultry (this can be virtually ANY crop, animal or bird) that you may own and goes on to ask how much monetary value is
placed on produce or the sale of animal/poultry products. The [survey] also mentions that any one who produces and sells more than $1,000 per year is asked to voluntarily supply this information to the government. $1,000 a year is such a paltry amount and is significant in the fact that this amount is so low as to encompass virtually anything you might wish to grow and produce even for your own use. It would be virtually impossible for the federal government to confiscate food sources in the event they decide they must, unless they know first hand where that source is located and how much of it is there.
This is a voluntary survey and is not a [census]. Survey’s are voluntary, the census taken every ten years to do a head count of our population is not.
No one would have believed that the Russian government would have intentionally starved an estimated 10 million Ukrainian people to death, but the fact is …from 1932-33 they did. During the Holodomor people became so ravenous, some inevitably turned to cannibalism. The Russian government accomplished this mass starvation by seizing control of all food production and forcing everyone to work for collective farms.
Farmers and ranchers were forced to give up their land and livestock to the state and were not allowed to consume any of the food they produced; all of it was held in government owned silo’s and terminals. All of it sold for export to other countries and the money used to finance wars.
This was genocide on a massive scale. It was a genocide intended to take land and farming away from the people and convert it all to state (corporate) control. It was estimated that 80% of the Ukrainian population were farmers. As the millions died, other ethnic groups were brought in to replace the Ukrainians. And it all began with the Russian government depleting grain reserves and food supplies and then claiming ownership and control of agriculture.
While our own government has not yet begun withholding food from the general population, the transferring of other ethnic groups into our communities through the promotion of illegal immigration across our southern border and from the dumping of massive numbers of alleged refugees from many mid-eastern countries into communities where the cultural, religious and ethnic back grounds quickly divide the population, is happening. This is an intentional disruption of these communities not for the purpose of diversity, but rather, to end the sense of cultural and national unity. This is nation busting. Its purpose is to destroy any sense of community or national identity and loyalty.
I recently found out something shocking. This revelation happened as I was meandering through the Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association (OSGATA) website and ran across the “about” page. It just so happens that Joel Reiten is one of the Board of Directors – “Currently seed production manager for Seeds of Change, a division of Mars, one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of 100% organic seed.” More
“In Zanesville, Ohio, Sec. Vilsack held a political meeting and allowed questions. He was asked, “With over 90% of livestock producers opposed to NAIS in the listening sessions, how large would the percentage have to be to abandon the whole thing?” Answer political mumble, mumble……… Could it be 95% for ADT? Send in your opposition today and encourage others to quickly comment. Thanks for helping protect the US cattle producer from useless enforcements.”
____________________________________________
On February 5, 2010, USDA Sec. of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced that the opposition was so great, the ill-fated NAIS brain child of the US government was now ended. The cost, complications, record keeping time, and potential enforcement fines made the whole thing stink to ranchers of the USA. In listening sessions held to “hear the voice of the people” it had unearthed over 90% opposition to NAIS from cattle people.
For a period of time February, ranchers relaxed. Many were still skeptical, and rightfully so.
The battle was extremely lopsided. USDA had millions of dollars of taxpayer money — over $140 million to be precise — to develop and promote NAIS and to persuade state departments of agriculture and cattle industry trade associations to recruit as many independent cattle producers as possible into the unwanted NAIS program.
To not labor-on with this continuing burden of government versus people, NAIS is back, now called Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) and with the same diminutive text – government gobbledygook. With more federal and state veterinarians than any time in history and less livestock disease — those hired to terminate disease, have minimal disease to terminate. Cattle numbers are reducing and government employees are increasing.
The other talking point for ADT is US exports. Well, go jump in the lake! The USA hasn’t produced enough beef to feed the nation in 40 years and the amount being produced is declining. Yet, as the USA imported 16% of their beef last year, ADT, somehow needs to become mandatory to increase exports. It doesn’t take a Bernie Madoff to find a chuckle in that concept.
On August 20th, 2010, the FDA issued a recall and alert of an estimated 300 million (or was it billion?) eggs that were produced at Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa. Far from being the first time this egg company had been sited for unsanitary conditions or other FDA violations, the FDA subsequent to the
latest infractions which affected consumers in many states, issued a warning letter (yet again) to the company. No one from Wright Egg Company was arrested; no product was seized or destroyed and not one person associated with Wright Egg was taken to court or charged with any crimes. What did follow was a letter of warning.
The letter states: “Failure to take prompt corrective action may result in regulatory action being initiated by the Food and Drug Administration without further notice. These actions include, but are not limited to, seizure and/or injunction.”
No seizure or injunction occurred. In fact,Wright County Egg really never missed a day of production, or was penalized in any meaningful way for their ongoing disregard of FDA standards.
“The FDA is in ongoing communications with Wright County Egg to ensure that appropriate preventive measures are put in place to reduce the risk of recurrence.”
President Obama’s new Rural Council is led by the Department of Agriculture (USDA).
How does the USDA tie into the United Nations and international laws?
Let’s look at the USDA’s Forest Service.
USDA’s FOREST SERVICE (FS)
The Forest Service is also on the USDA’s Invasive Species Council, and issued a report about Invasive Species titled “Addressing the Four Threats in an International Context,” which states “While the U.S. is not party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), forest service experts participate in invasive species working groups sponsored by the CBD to share information and establish guidelines for border control, mitigation, and management.”
Does this vague supposed difference between “party to” and “participate” seem a little loosey goosey to you? (The Convention on Biological Diversity is a United Nations treaty that our U.S. Senate didn’t ratify, so it seems like U.S. government agencies shouldn’t be a “party to” participating in these “working groups.”)
This report also states: “The Forest Service is a member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), an international partnership of government agencies and non-governmental organizations interested in nature conservation. The IUCN hosts the Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG).”
On the IUCN website, it states: “IUCN links its Mission to the paramount goals of the international community on environment and sustainable development, in particular Agenda 21…” More
How can a mutated germ plasm be so vastly different that a patent can be obtained and, at the same time, be so substantially the same as the germ plasm it was derived from that it should be generally considered safe and unregulated?” Someone? Anyone?
_____________________________________________
The recent deregulation of genetically mutated bluegrass is the first domino to fall in the scheme to deregulate all gmo’s and to avoid having to label these disgusting creations so that consumers, many of whom are fully aware of the dangers of these products, can choose to avoid them. The economic power wielded by consumers via their food dollars would quickly put an end to genetic modification, mutation and alteration. Therefore, regulation, control, liability for harm and damage along with labeling, must be avoided at all costs.
The reduction of biodiversity as a result of the infestation of transgenic plants and crops will cause the rise of monocultures where a single crop is grown in a region or, becomes the only crop that will grow wiping out any biodiversity and by necessity causing a rise in the use of pesticides and herbicides as insects and weeds alike develop a tolerance to genetically mutated seeds and chemical applications. This infestation and resulting contamination of food crops in particular, or those crops to be used for feeds and fuel should be treated for what they actually are: the equivalent of AIDS in the plant world.
Transgenic crops are protected by fraudulent patents and will eventually be used to eradicate all rights to regional germ plasms. The GATT agreement will facilitate the loss of the right of farmers in any given region to reproduce or save seed, and will prohibit the sharing of seed; exactly what is being implemented now. More
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is the center of one of government’s biggest shams.
As a member of the National Invasive Species Council, the USDA has a mandate to “not authorize, fund, or carry out actions that it believes are likely to cause or promote the introduction or spread of invasive species in the United States or elsewhere.”
Your tax payer dollars are paying for the eradication of invasive species like stink bugs and salt cedar.
Meanwhile, more of your tax dollars are funding the vast promotion of the ultimate invasive species: genetically engineered plants and cloned animals. This includes USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) which was formerly CSREES, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Economic Research Service (ERS), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
Invasive species are any species not native to an ecosystem, and with an intentional or unintentional release, are likely to cause, or does cause, economic or environmental harm, or harm to human health.
Consider this when you see what the USDA has allowed to be field tested in the U.S.:
- Human genes in barley, corn, tobacco, rice, and sugarcane
- Mouse genes in corn, along with human genes
- Simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) and Hepatitis B genes in corn
- Rat genes in soybeans
- Fruit fly genes in potatoes
- Pig genes in corn
Noting “certain food-related ailments” this committee failed to ask the most obvious and relevant question:
If these ailments are a result of the food we are eating…..what is the underlying problem with the food? And why would finding a remedy for this increase in possibly deadly ailments include further contamination and adulteration of the food supply with nano-chips?
_______________________________________________
I had come across an article in the Dairy Reporter last year, about the coming plans to insert nano-technology into food. In the article from DR: Nanotechnology in food: What’s the big idea? By Caroline Scott-Thomas, 26-Jul-2010 this observation was made:
“At IFT’s nanoscience conference last week, major industry players discussed how to avoid a rerun of the GMO debacle with consumers – with some saying that one solution could be to say nothing about introducing nanotechnology in foods and to do it anyway.”
We all have enough experience with today’s bio-pirates who are openly colluding with the USDA, FDA and anyone else in government, like “Dirty Harry” Reid NV (D), who single-handedly and unanimously cast the one vote needed to pass the fake food safety bill, to know that food safety and longer shelf life is most likely not what this technology is actually intended to do. As it is, most products on the shelves of stores now are so chemically laden and contain so much gmo that I doubt spoilage is an option. I have seen you many times on Lame Street Media promoting your grandiose plan to kill Medicare. I realize targeting those least able to defend themselves from yet another round of the neo-con movement to redistribute the wealth to the upper 3% while leaving the country in ruins as jobs are shipped out and as corporations plunder the country, is underway.
While helping to spend the country into untenable debt and rolling out the red carpet to foreign investors and corporations who are steadily consuming everything in site, I realize that you have to dispense with any program or initiative which would lend support to the elderly, that class of useless eaters so despised by so many of you.
While railing against Medicare and what it costs the country, you never made mention of what it costs the country to support you while you are in office and even when you leave. For someone whose existence is now predicated upon the parasitic relationship of elected officials dependent on taxpayers, I am surprised that you did not readily identify yourself and the rest of congress as an unsustainable drain on the economy. We can no longer afford to support you people, especially when you contribute virtually nothing to the economy or GDP while availing yourselves of special privileges, perks and financial enrichments.
If you believe that individuals of modest to moderate incomes should be able afford the uncontrolled extortionary healthcare insurance rates, the inflated medical industry charges, and the non-negotiated inflated costs of pharmaceuticals, AND! at the same time save massive portions of our income which is under attack constantly by the IRS as taxes just keep eating up more and more of our income just so that we have some kind of security when we get too old to work………….then I see no reason why you and your cohorts in the District of Criminals can’t do the same on your ever rising incomes which far exceeds what most of us whom you are targeting, earned. In what has to be one of the most laughable complaints to emerge from the UK in the past month (besides the “hat wars” at the Royal Wedding of course Dahling), there is “dismay” from the National Farm Union over a program remarkably similar to the now defunct National Animal Identification System.
The British equivalent of The Farm Bureau here Stateside, not so long ago words emerged from the leadership as to the effect of EID on the Brit’s Livestock Industry. Livestock Board Chairman Mackintosh says:
“As a sheep producer myself I fully understand the threat to our industry that EID poses. The Board and I will do everything within our powers to delay implementation of EID until a workable and crucially a cost effective solution can be found taking into account decisions already made at an EU level,” he said.
Oh complaints have been made over the years before the implementation, but the EU continued to “encourage” participation while ensuring that all the concerns would be taken into consideration. Of course small-scale livestock producers have been fighting since 2003 against this program (see here a short synopsis), but now the “Big Boys” are a bit miffed. One wonders why?
Well first look at the little list of what must be done to “comply”:
Tag facts
• All sheep born or first tagged from 1 January 2010 (new sheep) must be identified with two identifiers bearing the same number
• Sheep still do not have to be tagged until they are nine months old or until they are being moved off the holding, whichever is the sooner The colour of the new EID tags and the matching conventional tags is yellow, but sheep producers may choose a different colour for the matching conventional tag if useful for on-farm management purposes
• Older sheep don’t have to be upgraded to EID if they don’t leave the holding and carry at least one old green tag More
The federal government claims the debt is $14.3 trillion dollars, but other economists say the US debt is closer to $200 trillion (based on projected revenue and projected spending). Either way, a $38 billion budget reduction makes no difference. Especially when the federal government’s actual spending will decrease by a mere $352 million compared to last year- as reported by the National Journal:
“The astonishing result, according to CBO, is due to several factors: increases in spending included in the deal, especially at the Defense Department; decisions to draw over half of the savings from rescissions, which are funds previously authorized but not spent; cuts to reserve funds; and to mandatory-spending programs, such as certain farm subsidies.”
Here is a sample of some of the so-called budget cuts:
1. Department of Defense budget-
The DoD’s budget for 2010 was $685 billion, including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Wikipedia. Obama called for a reduction in the DoD budget by $400 billion….over 12 years, which averages out to $33 billion a year. This cut is still pending a Pentagon review which leaves Obama with some wiggle room. Compare the money that the US spends on military industrial corporate welfare and illegal wars to China, with the second largest military expenditure, in the amount of $150 billion.
Who is the DoD’s real enemy? It appears to be the American taxpayer and the US economy. More
All products are presumed to be safe and effective. We make this presumption because the label says they are safe and effective and we know we can trust the FDA to enforce honest labeling. (sarc)
The label also lists only the active ingredient(s), and these can amount to only a small percentage of the actual contents of the product. So what is the remaining bulk of the product contents? You can’t know that. The inert ingredients, said to be mostly comprised of components necessary to make the active ingredient “active”, do not have to be disclosed because they are proprietary rights, protected trade secrets, none of your damn business. Basically, chemical product producers can add the dust off their floors to the products you are buying and it matters not.
Besides, the inert ingredients can cause everything from cancer to brain damage and who wants to be held liable for that? People might want to sue you for intentionally exposing them to hazardous and deadly toxins used in a product that really wasn’t safe and effective, and what would happen to corporate profits if they did?
Because the known hazards of the products are never fully disclosed we have no idea what we are actually buying and using. Safe and effective is misleading at the very least and deadly at the very worst.
I wonder why the FDA hasn’t gone after these producers of toxic chemical applications for misbranding and adulteration? More
While Homeland Security continues to claim that we must not centralize agricultural production because some terrorist might then poison vast quantities of our food supply, the USDA and FDA continue to rig the system in favor of corporate agricultural producers who are doing that very thing. Maybe they get away with this because what these global corporations are producing can’t really be classified as food, or at least not as food we would recognize as fit for human consumption.
Let me make this perfectly clear: there is no unnamed terrorist in a cave on the other side of the world salivating over the idea of contaminating a corn field in Iowa. We know who the terrorists are, and they all have the word, “Corporation” attached to their names. And they aren’t in caves either; many have very nice and spacious offices right inside the USDA and FDA.
While biotechnology is touted as being the answer to the world’s food requirements, no one has stopped to ask why all this tampering with, mother nature was necessary in the first place. Biotechnology has not caused an increase in food supplies as the bio-pirates claimed it would. In fact, supposedly a world-wide food crisis is building and a larger percentage of people around the world suffer from hunger and starvation. Now, one of two things has to be true here if there is actually a food shortage.
- Biotechnology does not increase production as claimed or,
- Food is being intentionally withheld from various populations.
Neither thought bodes well for the bio-pirates. More
Farm Wars
Our food supply is in jeopardy. Not only from outside forces such as poisons from China, but from within. The very people that we look to for guidance seem to be working together to lead us straight into global food governance in the form of Codex Alimentarius. This is especially alarming when you consider that the very organizations such as the USDA and FDA, that are charged with the safeguarding and regulation of our food supply are at the forefront of the battle, leading us straight into worldwide genocide using food as a weapon.
But the USDA and FDA do not stand alone. There are others who consider food to be “fair game” in this war against the people, and they just happen to control some very large purse strings. So, who holds the purse strings behind the push to obliterate any food safeguards we may have? Let’s just pick two – Rockefeller and Merck, then take a closer look at a few of the “trusted” organizations that they fund. More
“Wasn’t the reason we had to let the bio-pirates patent seeds, mutate nature, and contaminate the land and water and the resulting food supply was because they claimed they were the answer to global hunger? They were going to end global hunger, weren’t they? They wouldn’t have lied would they? This couldn’t have just been about food control and profits, could it? Surely not. “
Who knew pesticides were actually good for us? Here we thought they were toxic concoctions that adversely affected humans, plants and animals, but it turns out we were all wrong. Never mind, that these hazardous chemicals contaminate land and water and pose a significant risk to the environment overall. And, never mind that we have no idea what the inert and hazardous ingredients are contained in them that could cause cancer, blindness, paralysis, seizures and other maladies, as it turns out it isn’t about health and safety. Its all about convenience, affordability ($$$). Its about our lifestyles!
While we all erroneously believed that spraying carcinogens, heavy metals, microbial mutations, and god knows what else on anything and everything in sight might not be a good idea, it turns outs all this crap is really good for birds, animals, plants and the environment. One could conclude that the residual chemicals left in the end products and consumed by human beings must also be beneficial.
Like many of you, I was opposed to the use of toxic chemicals being applied in ever increasing amounts to food crops. But then I read this article:
“The use of pesticides brings numerous benefits and makes a significant contribution to the lifestyles we have come to expect. These benefits are not confined to the users of pesticides, but reach the great majority of people across the world. The general public often take for granted or oppose the use of pesticides, but they make possible the year-round availability of high-quality, affordable food. Similarly, the environment and wild plants, birds and animals benefit from the carefully regulated application of chemical pesticides.”
Carefully regulated? When did that happen? Application is now determined by the level of resistance building up in the crops and pests these applications are used on. There is no careful regulation. In fact, no regulation at all; just increased application or strength of application. And it is safe…..the FDA says so. And you know you can trust the FDA!
I cannot even believe this statement “Similarly, the environment and wild plants, birds and animals benefit from the carefully regulated application of chemical pesticides.” was even made. And as the article says, use of pesticides is not limited to users of pesticides. Yuuummm! More
Farm Wars
Just when we thought that buying “Organic” was safe, we run headlong into the deliberate poisoning of our organic food supply by the FDA in collusion with none other than the folks who brought us Aspartame. NutraSweet, a former Monsanto asset, has developed a new and improved version of this neurotoxin called Neotame. More
