Topics will be:Heart of America Humane Society Outreach, Adoption events, how to get involved and foster & Fix’em KC is a non-profit focused on spaying and neutering.

The Heart of America Humane Society is a 100% volunteer organization working to find good homes for animals. They do not have a shelter of their own but they have created a cooperative partnership with the Lee’s Summit Municipal Animal Shelter in Lee’s Summit MO and KCK Animal Services in Kansas City KS.

Fix’em KC’s mission is to reduce the homeless animal population in the Greater Kansas City area by subsidizing spay/neuter surgery for pet owners who cannot afford the cost of surgery, financially assisting community animal caretakers and trappers with the cost of spay/neuter for trap, neuter-spay, and return (TNR), and creating more accessibility to area veterinarians for low-income pet owners through the establishment of a vet network.
