We need a: Protect America from Congress Act

I believe it is time that we, the public, wrote our own legislation and called it The Protect America from Congress Act (PACA).  In  light of all the legislation that has been passed by both Democrats and Republicans in the last 14 years, most of which flies in the face of the Constitution and civil rights we need to act to defend ourselves from what is obviously the greatest threat we face as a nation. The onslaught of unconstitutional pieces of  legislation that have cost us our freedom, privacy and liberty is a clear indicator that our greatest enemy is housed in the District of Criminals.

I don’t know about any of you, but I am so sick of these politicians and their in-your-face assaults on the constitution.  I am not afraid of some rogue terrorist.  I refuse to live in fear of some unknown, unidentifiable, undefinable terrorist threat, especially as we bomb our way around the globe.  As paranoid as our own government has become I have no doubt the “fears” they express are probably borne of some conspiracy theory one or some of them verbalized.  I fully expect to see both houses of congress assembled in the near future, all of them sporting tin foil hats and taking turns trying to spot UFO’s from Iran, while so-called [intelligence] agencies fabricate one conspiracy theory after another!

We said No!

Its an amazing thing to see Lemar Smith roll out another new internet takeover bill.  Apparently, 10-13 million of us screaming “NO!” didn’t sink in to Mr. Smith’s way of thinking.  I think it would be worth our while to find out how much money Mr. Smith stands to make on possible insider trading should this latest assault on freedom of speech become another voidable corporate code.  It might also be interesting to determine who actually wrote the bill that Smith is now schlepping around the District of Criminals.  You know damn well he didn’t write it.  So who did? And who is it that stands to benefit most from this rotten deal?  And, how much does he himself stand to profit on possible insider trading deals based on the position and possible passage of this bill?

America!! Wake Up Now or Sleep Forever

Many of the minority of U.S. citizens who are watching in shock and horror over what The Powers That Be (TPTB) are doing to our country,  have come to the conclusion that it may very well be too late for America.  We know that we’ve been fighting this coup de tat by evil predators nearly singlehandedly.  We know too, that our friends and neighbors are tired of our warning cries, e-mails, and activism.  So we’ve learned to stop ‘bothering’ them.  Even more depressing is that in many cases, to keep the peace, we’ve had to go silent with our own families as well.  We have been a thorn in their side, and can feel them shutting down mentally and throwing up their guard whenever we are around.  So, instead of showing our alarm and panic, we absurdly chatter about the weather or their new carpeting or their upcoming vacation.  Some activists have stated that none of them will deserve our help or sympathy when the SHTF, or that due to their denial, apathy, and lack of discernment, they won’t deserve to survive.

And how unfair will it be if the whole thing does go down the tubes because these people were willfully ignorant, or too self-absorbed to care about what was freaking us out?  Our anger has grown toward our ‘neighbors’ and fellow Americans because we know if they’d been fighting right along with us from the get-go, this might have been avoided.  Power in numbers.  As it is, TPTB have happily fed them whatever they will lap up, and have been arrogantly secure in their power to do so.   They delight in the blue-blooded Americans, who have no care for their ancestors’ sacrifice and bravery to keep our lives and country strong and free, and our future bright.  There’s actually grave danger when we take good things for granted and sit back on our laurels! 

Note To Eric Holder: Murder Is Illegal

(NWR) – After reading only a few excerpts of a recent speech by the U.S. Attorney General at Northwestern University law school in Chicago, I find myself at odds with his justifications of the murder of Anwar al-Awlaki (an American citizen), five months ago – via a drone strike by the U.S. Government.

What struck me as being most outrageous and uncomfortable about Holder, was his stating:

“The Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process..”

The problem for me with the above statement, even if one doesn’t consider how the Attorney General chose to hair-split the words of the U.S. Constitution, is that ‘due process’ or any legal process for that matter, was not in fact exercised in this case by the Obama administration. And since it is that Congress has not yet to my knowledge declared war on the country of Yemen, then what any fair-minded American must conclude actually took place in this instance was the absolute assassination of an individual of which the Constitution of United States had undoubtedly granted protection to.

According to Webster’s dictionary, ‘due process’ is defined:

: a course of formal proceedings (as legal proceedings) carried out regularly and in accordance with established rules and principles —called also procedural due process
2
: a judicial requirement that enacted laws may not contain provisions that result in the unfair, arbitrary, or unreasonable treatment of an individual —called also substantive due process

Last night at the gym after my usual stint at the pullup bar and the leg extension and leg curl machines, I proceeded to the treadmill. I was there for one hour at varying speeds and inclines throughout the 60 minutes. The ceiling-suspended television sets for treadmillers at this particular training location in San Antonio always involve ESPN; one of the major networks when it offers a bad soap opera or sit-com; and the incessant droning of the CNN newsroom where the presence of Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper proves especially annoying and wearisome, although informative in ways not intended by the Masters of Corporate Media.

Last night was more of the same. I was stationed in front of CNN during my treadmill session. Wolf Blitzer was interviewing a Fred Burton of Stratfor Global Intelligence based in Austin, Texas. Mr. Burton is their Vice-President for Counterterrorism and Corporate Security. The subject was the mysterious January 16th, 2012 killing of Iranian medical student Gelareh Bagherzadeh, age 30, a woman with a profile as an activist in the Iranian women’s rights movement and professionally based at Houston’s world-famous M. D. Anderson Medical Center. She was found slumped over the wheel of her car after being shot in the head once by an unknown assailant. The crime took place at the site of the wealthy housing estate in Houston where her family lived. Houston police summoned after the gunfire found Ms. Bagherzadeh’s vehicle crashed into the door of a garage with the engine still running and the tires spinning. She had apparently been speaking on her mobile phone to an ex-boyfriend at the time of her death. It is still unclear whether she had been followed home, or the victim of an assassin lying in wait for her as she arrived. No one is presently in custody.
