“While this reading of America’s most historical and profoundly important document was read, congress men and women chatted with one another and I believe a few might have napped.”
_____________________________________________
I tried watching the swearing in of the new House for the 112th Congress. I couldn’t stand it. Standing on the steps outside the House, was one of the greatest collections of career liars, thieves and thugs ever publicly assembled, sprinkled with a few new-comers who probably believe they are actually going to affect a change in the District of Criminals.
By the end of January, these newbies will have been thoroughly indoctrinated and will have had the law laid down to them about how things really work in the District. The newbies will resurface along about February with their talking points memo’s in hand and will dutifully be spouting the party line and will have totally dismissed any notions they may have had about “changing” the way the District does business.
Next I tried to watch the changing of the Speaker of the House. In these moments I am always amazed at the ability of the players to stand in front of not only the House members, but the American public thanks to all the camera’s present, and to deliver vacant and pointless speeches, the words of which sound like they should mean something….but really don’t.
Nancy Pelosi had the gall to speak about defending the Constitution. This from a woman who has single-handedly violated the provisions of that document on so many occasions it is staggering. Now she thinks the Constitution should be defended. Apparently Ms. Pelosi suffers from some form of congressional alzheimers or maybe she just has selective memory.
John Boehner took the gavel as he assumed his new position as speaker and talked about “openness, transparency and honesty”. Words I believe were taken from Obama’s now infamous remarks during his campaign. Yeah…..I’ll be looking for John to deliver on that one.
The grand coup’ in all of this, the zinger meant to incite the public, to make the American people believe was a new day with new leadership that was really going to listen to the American people and a leadership that held the Constitution in high regard, promising to uphold it at all times …….was the reading of the Constitution on the floor of the House. While this reading of America’s most historical and profoundly important document was read, congress men and women chatted with one another and I believe a few might have napped.
Not one congressmen, not the outgoing speaker or the incoming speaker, said one word about repealing any of the egregious assaults on Constitutional rights and protections that were contained in numerous pieces of legislation that they themselves, in many instances, voted to pass
Having watched these stage shows put on by both the House and Senate for more years than I care to admit, I was none-the-less taken back by the unmitigated gall, the phony posturing, the vacant speeches and remarks that were capped with the reading of the Constitution. Call me cynical, but I get the uneasy feeling this was some kind of insider joke. Maybe this is Congress’s idea of fun. I don’t know.
Here’s what I do know: We have allowed ourselves repeatedly to be conned by people we elect to office. We believe the speeches and the declarations, but once they are in office, they forget who they work for. Or maybe they never had any intentions of working for us to begin with.
The truth of the matter is that no matter what their intentions, corporations, lobbyists and other forces that we are just now learning about pull the strings. The fact is, we are subsidizing a political body that has ceased to be anything other than the facilitators for corporate takeover of all parts of our lives while subjecting us to agreements with foreign governments, international bodies and foreign organizations, populated by people who have no interest in seeing this country thrive and survive.
My question is this: Why do we continue to pay them?
After all, if you look at the money trail attached to each and every bill you see that they all garner millions in funding from the corporations who run the government; a donation no doubt meant to influence their votes.
I did not hear the out going speaker or the new speaker make any mention of ending this influence buying by corporations, and it was never mentioned either before or after the reading of the Constitution.
Speeches and vacant promises aside, there will be no change in the District of Criminals. The only thing that has changed is “who holds the gavel”.

That would be nice but unfortunately real elections are over. The only thing that’s gonna right this mess is some good old fashioned blood spilling. Being the shape the world is in however, I don’t think there’s gonna be time for any revolution. And they slipped into forgotten history.

Thank You PPJ for this article. I wasn’t able to watch this folly because I was WORKING! but I’m sure I would have had the same reaction as when Congress stood on the steps of the Capitol after 9-11, singing “God Bless America”. I couldn’t help but think, HYPOCRITES!
I thought, “How dare you call on the name of the Lord now when you have allowed judges to remove His Name from everything this country stands for!” “Why should He bless us?”
And now Congress has the audacity to read the document that was written to birth this great nation by God-fearing men and they take an oath to uphold, while passing laws that are totally against this very document? Again, I would have had to say, “HYPOCRITES!”
One of our founders had it right when he said, “The Constitution was written for a moral people”. If we do not repent and elect those who would stand beside our founder’s God can we expect to regain His blessing?
What say you?

So many people think, because of the Internet that millions know what’s going on and we talk about it and that’s about it. Now we have been talking about it for a long time.
Really the inly thing we could do is march on Capitol Hill and say, “We’ve had enough all you bastards out. We are going to change a few things right here right now. We are going to do away with The federal reserve. We are going to bring all the troops home. We are going to tell Israel to get their act together and all nuclear weaponsw will be destroyed as soon as we figure out what to do with all the mess.
But realy we hear this crap all the time. A new politician comes in and he comes in on change and they all will work together, but the truth is we have two parties for a reson. Everytime a party screws up the other party has all the ideas. It’s just a game folks. If you took it seriously you would just shoot them all.

HAHAHAHA! “There should come a day when the military marches up Capitol Hill and takes them all to Leavenworth Prison where they belong. I hope it would happen before they try and declare martial law.”
That’s it, sit and wait for them to save you. The military has enormous suicide rates right now. Do you really think they are killing themselves? Only the naive do.

I tried to watch them read the constitution and only lasted through the first two. What a joke it was, if they really wanted us to watch they would of picked one person, with a nice loud voice and make it mean somethings. Not starting and stoping like a buch of first graders taking turns reading Dick and Jane in a class room, a teacher calling them to the front of the class room. They probably all cried like first graders and said,” I want to do it” and because they can’t agree on anything had to let everyone take a turn because no one would back down and let someone else read it.
Until are factories come back we will have no Country, where can they get all that tax money they got from factories, think about it. For every man and women who worked in a factory in our country they got weekly tax money from them. Plus Quartly taxes from the Company. Now the people who would of worked in factories, a large part of them don’t pay taxes. They hang out doing nothing and getting in trouble. As we lost our factories are prisons grew. Think about that. By sending the factories out of our Country they screwed everyone, except the owners of the factories, who sit in our Country like Kings and pay no taxes on the money they make. Look how they live and what they owen. Then think what else you would owen if you paid no taxes.
I think there are people in heaven like Mr Ford, Mr Hershey, Mr Nestley, etc. (that might not be their names but you know what I mean) Crying their eyes out because they built the Companies as proud Americans building America, and then their Companies ended up in the hands of some Greedy people, who wasn’t happy just being rich, they wanted more. So they took their Companies over to slave wage places, Greed that is all it is. It is beyond me how they can say they are Religous and be that greedy, or say they are Americans and treat their Country the way they do. They will die before they ever spend all that money, so for what are Country pays in the end why would a true American do that to their Country. For money they will never live long enough to spend PLEASE. I JUST DON’T GET IT WHY DO PEOPLE NEED MORE MONEY THAN THEY CAN SPEND IN A LIFE TIME.

All governments use military and law enforcement to force their will. A portion of our military, and a lot of our law enforcement is now wide awake. There should come a day when the military marches up Capitol Hill and takes them all to Leavenworth Prison where they belong. I hope it would happen before they try and declare martial law.
ALWAYS keep your guns, and NEVER give them up, EVER!
The debt is so heavy and the interest payments so high, that we wouldn’t have a chance of paying it off in 10,000 years, even if all borrowing were to stop, and we printed interest free money as Lincoln did and Kennedy tried to do. They were both shot for their trouble.
I say set up a new Capitol around St. Louis somewhere and let Washington and the bankers rot in their own filth and corruption.

Spot on and very true. The thing that you failed to say was that when all peaceful means of change are neutered that the only means left will be force.
The American people need to be educated that those using this force are the friends of liberty and that they should join rather than fight those folks.

Amerikans…once a chump always a chump.
The US has been incorporated since 1871.
If nothing has changed in that time, don’t expect it now.
Only pitch forks and torches would change this place.
Can you ever imagine these fat assed McDonnaldomites doing that?
Forget it–you are and have been on your own.
There is no government here, just a mighty world wide criminal syndicate.
Caugh and stutter, curse and mutter, but pass the butter.
TIME…this too shall pass.

The definition of insanity is (as we all know) doing the same thing with the expectation of getting a different result. So what are our options?
a) give D.C. its pink slip. No more Federal Government. Revert to State Sovereignty
b) Dissolve the U.S. corporation that is posing as a Republic
c) Re-enthrone the Constitution
d) Repeal Executive Orders, Acts and agencies that are unconstitutional
In short, start from scratch.

Most of the Congress and Senate should be put on trial for treason and if found guilty, immediately taken outside by the Potomac and shot by firing squad. They openly take bribes in the form of “campaign donations” and have destroyed our country. Israel controls the United States and is its capital. We are fighting Israel’s wars of expansion so as to make room for the Jews of the world who will flee there when race war breaks out in the United States and Europe. Both places have been flooded with non-Whites and Muslims, all planned by the Jews who control both places. All non-Jews that survive this holocaust will be openly made into slaves for Israel. We are slaves now but the sheeple believe they are free. How do you keep slaves happy? Don’t let them know they are slaves. Remind your slaves often that they are free, live in the land of the free, and are fighting for “freedom”. Tell your slaves the Muslims “hate us for our freedom”. The dumbed down slaves would believe feces sandwiches were good for them, that they are “recycled nutrients”. Sewage would be on the stock exchange. The sheeple will be scarfing them down on every corner.

Good article Marti, I have to agree with you sadly. Most federal politician’s loyalty is to: 1) themselves 2) their family and friends 3) their party 4) their lobbyists and donors 5) their professional affiliations 6) their former and future private employers 7) their state. Any few remaining seeds of loyalty go to us hungry pigeons, but unfortunately some of us pigeons then wake to find the seeds we are “fed” are bait to bring us all into a global trap……… with no Constitution at all.
As others have said, most of the federal bureaucracy is a “cesspool of iniquity”. It would be good if the states would try to resist the federal encroachment of our freedoms. The problem is that they don’t seem willing to step up to the plate – likely due to one negative residual effect of the Civil War outcome, as well as divided loyalties shared in common with federal politicians.

“No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to uphold
This is a true statement and since Obama is the captain of the ship (Commander and Chief) and the Congress are the shipmates. So why doesn’t someone go a a jag office and sue them for not adhereing to the oath they’ve taken? It’s been done before but everyone forgets they have that ave. available. If I had the money, I’d do it.

There should be just two things on the agenda:
1) campaign finance reform
2) the integrity of the vote
Nothing else of substance will be accomplished until these two essential things are made right.
